Blackcomb Glacier, Page 1

This is the sign that greets you at the entrance of the glacier, which is part of the Blackcomb Glacier Provincial Park. As you can see from the sign on the lower right, it's a long way to the nearest chairlift. If you ski all the way down to the Blackcomb base at the Whistler Village, it's about a 9-10 mile long ski run.


This is the view looking across the entrance. It's probably 1/2 mile across or so. The signs you see here are for a cliff that's called "Blow Hole", a double black diamond run. Basically, it's just drops straight down.
