How much did this trip cost?
Here's a breakdown of the total cost. It was much cheaper than you think.

Where is Engelberg?
Never heard of Engelberg? This is some information about the town.

Trip diary
This is a small diary I wrote which gives some information about what happened on each day on my trip.

Mount Titlis Ski Resort
Mt. Titlis is the ski resort in Engelberg. These pictures show the various terrain and slopes, including a couple of runs that are on the Titlis Glacier itself! There was also a "Glacier Grotto", which allowed you to walk inside the glacier, where it's a constant 33 degrees Farenheit all year.

Swiss Masters 2000 Telemark Skiing Championships
The town of Engelberg was the host for the 2000 Telemark Skiing Championships. They previously hosted the event in 1992. The race was held on Saturday, March 25 on the western side of the ski resort called Jochpass. There were competitors from the USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, Finland, and other countries. I took a bunch of photos from the races.

The Glacier Garden, Luzern
Did you know that 20 million years ago, Switzerland was a tropical paradise? When the last ice age carved the valleys, the glaciers created potholes in the rock, that were caused by glacial water melt. These are pictures of the various potholes that you can look at.

The Lion Monument, Luzern
This monument, carved into the rock next to the Glacier Garden, is dedicated to all of the Swiss Army soldiers who did while protecting Louis XVI during the French Revolution.

Downtown Luzern
Luzern is a very nice city. These are various pictures of the downtown area.
