This is looking along the West Ridge
with Jacque Peak in the background. You basically choose a spot on the trail and
simply drop onto the slope. Don is in the foreground on the lower left.
This is looking Southeast from the ridge.
This is looking South toward Tucker Mountain in the foreground.
The slope of the West Ridge starts off very steep, as this picture shows. I was
a little nervous at first, but it's not as bad as it looks.
A little later, we found Judy Haydel and Ellen in the bowl. They were with a mountain
tour group.
Randy in the green jacket, Chris on the snowboard (behind him), with Terri (yellow
helmet to Randy's left), Matt (blue jacket), the tour group leader (far right)
and another couple on the far left who was also on the tour. This is at the bottom
of the bowl area by the Mountain Chief lift.
