Whistler/Blackcomb, British Columbia, Canada

This is my latest ski trip from this January. The ski resort is located approximately 2 1/2 hours north of Vancouver along Highway 99. It's much larger than Heavenly, with over 7,000 acres of available area for skiing, including three glaciers.

We stayed at the Tantalus Lodge, which was within walking distance to the ski lifts. Whistler was selected as the host for the 2001 FIS World Freestyle Skiing Championships, which was very exciting to watch.

Blackcomb Glacier
The longest ski run at the resort - almost 10 miles long, if you ski from the top of the glacier down to the Whistler Village base. The first three are spent on the glacier, which is a fun ride!
