Before the Stanley Keg game, we held the skills competition. Players from all of the teams were selected to participate in the various events. Here are some pictures from them.


The first event was the team relay, in which we skated around cones down the length of the ice. When we reached the end, the player would pass the puck to the next skater.







There was the hardest shot contest, which was simply who could hit the puck the hardest. Marcus (shown below) won with a 60 mph shot.







The fastest skater competition was really good. This skater for the blue team had the most dramatic finish. He simply dove across the finish line.










We also had a shooting accuracy competition, in which you take a pass from one of the officials on either side of the rink and try to hit the four targets.













The final event was the rapid shot contest, where you shoot five pucks very quickly at the goalie. This is a test of skill for both shooter and goalie.
